Mission statement

South Shore Conservancy is committed to conserving and protecting the flora, fauna and habitats encompassed by the Prince Edward County Important Bird Area (IBA). The SSC strives to ensure that only appropriate development occurs on the south shore so that its natural state sustains indefinitely the habitats and species found there.

Current priorities

• Gilead Power Corp.’s Ostrander Point wind project
• WPD Canada’s White Pines wind project
• Federal protection for the South Shore through a National Park, National Wildlife Area or similar

How to join

One-time membership fee is $10.00 for individuals and $15.00 for couples / families.  Send a cheque payable to South Shore Conservancy, Box 147, Milford, ON  K0K 2P0.  Please include your name, mailing address, email address and phone number.  If you would like to receive an Information Brochure and Membership Form please email southshoreconservancy@kos.net.
