Guest opinion — Chris Mallette, City Editor of the Intell & CWN

[In the interest of presenting both sides of the wind turbine debate, here is a short opinion piece by Chris Malette, published in the Intelligencer on February 14.]

Pssst. Don’t tell the sky-is-falling crowd in Prince Edward County — largely comprised of urban imports — who believe wind turbines will leave the populace there cross-eyed and bow-legged, but their claims that ‘wind turbine syndrome’ is a real condition or a bona fide series of ailments took another hit recently with a blog item in the respected scientific periodical ‘Discover’ magazine.

Oh, and it’s written by a journalist with no shortage of chops, too, to lend some heft.

We got this link from a reader who commented on our story last week on the wind turbine fight in the County. .

Well. There’s grist for the old windmill, eh? I particularly found the bit about the so-called syndrome being more a “communicated” disease than anything else summed it up nicely.
