URGENT: Can you come out on Monday — Day 1 of the Ostrander Point appeal?

Can you attend Day 1 of the Ostrander Point ERT appeal on Monday, 10:30 am in Demorestville?  It would be a big help.

As you know, just before Christmas, the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) approved Gilead Power’s Ostrander Point industrial wind turbine project on the south shore of Prince Edward County.  This was distressing news for County residents, who have actively opposed this development for years.  Fortunately for our community, we’re not giving up.

On Monday, appeals by two County citizens’ groups will commence before an Environmental Review Tribunal — PECFN on harm to the natural environment and APPEC on harm to human health.  It’s the County’s last stand against Gilead and the MOE…and reinforcements are needed.

This is where you come in…how you can do something very important to help.  Just show up.  It’s that simple.  We’re asking you to attend the first day of the ERT hearing on Monday, and bring a friend if possible.  It’s essential that we pack the hall with County residents to demonstrate County solidarity on this issue.  We need you!

This Monday, March 4, at the Sophiasburgh Town Hall, 2771 County Road 5 in Demorestville.  Please arrive at 10:30 for the session, which will start at 11:00 am sharp.
