PECFN, CCSAGE, APPEC — Three big fundraisers in June

All three local groups fighting wind turbines in the County have major fundraising events planned for the first two weeks of June.  Please participate in one or, better still, all three.

1. Sat, June 1 to Sat, June 8 — PECFN Scavenger Hunt.  All week, finishing up at the Picton Curling Club, to help fund its Ostrander Point Appeal re the natural environment.  A major fun event; 4-person teams; ending reception with cash bar and the Frere Brothers; $500 prize to the winning team.  Details, including the list of scavenger items, available here .

2. Friday, June 7, 6:30 pm — CCSAGE Art Auction.  At Karlo Estates Winery to raise money for CCSAGE’s continuing efforts to keep wind turbines out of the County.  More than 40 art works donated by County artists; reception with hors d’oeuvres and Karlo wines.  Maximum 100 seats; pre-registration advised.  Details, including a partial catalogue of art works, here .

3. Saturday, June 15, 6:00 pm — APPEC Tribute Dinner.  At the Grange of Prince Edward Winery to help fund its Ostrander Point Appeal re human health.  Honouring Bill Wightman, a pioneer in the fight against Big Wind.  Pig roast; Grange wines; auction of high-end barbecue.  Maximum 120 seats — only 23 left; reservations required.  Details are available here .
